Ami Oppe, CPA, CGMA - Manager
Ami Oppe joined the Walsh, Kelliher & Sharp team in 2001. As a Tax Manager, Ami is responsible for maintaining the firm’s accounting and tax software systems, implementing standardized procedures, overseeing the paperless system, preparing tax returns, assisting clients with their day-to-day accounting and tax issues, and advising clients on a wide variety of business and tax challenges. Her niche expertise lies in business planning; tax planning and preparation for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts and estates; and resolving IRS issues.
Ami has earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in Accounting and Computer Information systems from University of Central Arkansas. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Alaska Society of Certified Public Accountants (AKCPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Taxation Division of the AICPA. In October of 2012, Ami was appointed to the Tax Practice Management Committee of the AICPA. She also regularly attends the AICPA National Tax Conference in Washington DC.
Outside of the office, Ami is kept busy by her four children and husband. Her family enjoys their summers to the fullest extent by spending almost every weekend camping in the great outdoors. Ami is also a supporter of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and Love, Inc. When she can find the time, she also loves reading, knitting and sewing.
